As the close of the calendar approaches, we know there are many things on a property manager’s “to do” or “wish” list. We talked with Spencer Lueders, Owner and President of Stone Building Services, about some of the opportunities to make the most of those end of year maintenance dollars.
Duranodic metal cleaning. From window and door frames, handles, trim, accent pieces… metal is used in so many different ways in and around your building. Polish and protect it to prevent corrosion from the elements, oils, cleaners, and solvents. Duranodic metal cleaning is cost-effective and provides lasting protection.
Elevator cabs. Tenants and guests can spend some serious time in these tight spaces, and not every surface may be under contract for maintenance, restoration, or repair. For example, the doors and panels may be covered, but what about that tile floor? Or the interior wood panels? Consider them an extension of your front lobby and equally important on your overall first impression.
Windows. That’s right, Stone Building Services does windows. Removing calcification from sprinkler overspray, grass clippings, and other materials is delicate work. Crowdsource. Ask your building engineers and long-term tenants. Have they noted or noticed any trouble spots? Often times they’ll recognize damage or opportunities that can slip by even the most vigilant of property managers. And they’ll most likely appreciate the nod at being part of the process. After all, it’s their business address, too!
